About VR RaceGrid
Founded in 2019 by Karl Beardmore and John Robinson in Newcastle-under-Lyme and relocated in 2022 to the GameGrid entertainment hub in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent (Unit A Clough Street East), VR RaceGrid is Staffordshire's dedicated virtual reality sim racing centre. Its networked racing pods pair Simucube direct-drive wheelbases and Fanatec Formula Carbon rims with Fanatec ClubSport V3 vibration pedals, bass-shaker tactile feedback, HP Reverb VR headsets (2160x2160 per eye), and cornering-reactive directional wind fans. Visitors can choose from over 200 cars and 100 circuits—including UK classics like Oulton Park, Cadwell Park, Donington Park, and Silverstone—across casual Dash stints, 45-minute Grand Prix events, and persistent leaderboard challenges tracked via RaceGrid's custom online Paddock stats portal.
