Studio 397 (rFactor 2)

Founded in 2016 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands—originally established in partnership with software company Luminis to take over development of Image Space Incorporated's rFactor 2 before being acquired by Motorsport Games in 2021—Studio 397 is a premier racing simulation software developer. The studio develops and maintains rFactor 2 and Le Mans Ultimate, the official racing simulation of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), 24 Hours of Le Mans, and European Le Mans Series (ELMS), featuring advanced pMotor/isiMotor physics, brush-model thermo-mechanical tire simulation, RealRoad dynamic track surface evolution, and day-to-night weather transitions. In addition to consumer titles and first-party DLC packs, Studio 397 operates the RaceControl online matchmaking and championship platform and provides underlying physics and simulation technology for commercial partners including Formula E and F1 Arcade.
