About 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual
Launched in June 2020 as a joint venture between the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC), and Motorsport Games, the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual is the flagship grand finale of the multi-round Le Mans Virtual Series. Contested on the rFactor 2 simulation platform for a $250,000 USD total prize pool, the series features up to 50 entries split across LMP2 and GTE classes with live race direction led by FIA WEC Race Director Eduardo Freitas and broadcasts produced from Silverstone. Each car mandates a mixed driver crew combining FIA-graded real-world drivers from Formula 1, IndyCar, and WEC with top-tier sim racers representing factory manufacturers (Alpine, BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche) and elite esports teams.
