Founded in February 2013, Global Sim Racing (GSR) is an international Xbox One sim racing league and community created to replicate real-world motorsport series as closely as possible across Forza Motorsport, Project CARS 2, and DiRT Rally. Official GSR championships enforce strict simulation rules—mandatory cockpit camera views and forced-off driving assists including ABS, traction control, stability management, and braking lines—paired with a custom Driver Safety penalty ranking system and member-voted series ballots. Over multiple seasons, the community has organized multi-hour events like the Global Sim Racing Endurance Championship (GSREC) and Indianapolis 500k alongside Mazda MX-5 Cup, IndyCar, V8 Supercars, BTCC, IROC, and historic Formula One championships.
