About BMW M Esports

Established in 2019 in Munich, Germany as the third official pillar of the BMW M Motorsport program alongside works and customer racing, BMW M Esports (BMW M Automotive Gaming) oversees the manufacturer's global virtual motorsport ecosystem, racing series, and hardware co-development. Working directly with simulation developers across iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Rennsport, Le Mans Ultimate, and rFactor 2, BMW M engineers share real-world CAD and telemetry data to bring the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh prototype, BMW M4 GT3, BMW M4 GT4, and BMW M8 GTE to virtual circuits, while organizing competitions such as the multi-class BMW M SIM Cup, BMW SIM Time Attack, and BMW M Power Tour. On the international esports stage, BMW M Motorsport fields factory-backed partner squads—including BMW M Team Redline / Verstappen Sim Racing, BMW M Team BS+COMPETITION, and BMW M Team MOUZ—and co-engineered the dual-purpose Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel BMW M4 GT3 used interchangeably in both the real-world GT3 race car and racing simulators.
