Developed by independent studio BeamNG GmbH in Bremen, Germany, BeamNG.drive is a dynamic soft-body physics vehicle simulator that models every chassis, suspension, powertrain, and aerodynamic component in real time using a node-and-beam structure at 2,000 Hz. Available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Humble Store—as well as PlayStation 5—it offers dozens of customizable vehicles, 12 sprawling open-world environments, direct-drive force-feedback wheel and OpenXR VR support, and an extensive community mod repository. Through its commercial and academic division, BeamNG.tech, the studio also provides research-grade simulation environments for ADAS, autonomous driving, and professional driver training.
